When we choose microscope,the manufactures will label the information of “For microscope recommended 0.5X mount ””For microscope recommended 0.63X mount”,then the question arise,how should we choose the microscope mount?

To choose the microscopy camera C mount adapter,generally we should consider whether it is match with the market required.In some special occasion,higher multiples mount is selected.
FN(Field of view number) is the field of view diameter(mm)which can be observed through eyepiece.In general occasion,this field of view means image space dimension and FN of the microscope is 12.5.

The usual way to select mount is:multiples of mount=ccd   target surface/FN,if the target surface is ½ ccd,22mm FN,not considering the effect of blackside,the corresponding mount is 0.35 multiples,0.35 multiples is the recommending mount type. If the effect suface is 75%,the most suitable multiples should be 0.5 multiples.In some special occasion,the user need to multiply the multiples instead of biggest visual field,they will choose higher multiples C mount and bigger target surface CCD.
